Week of 2/25: Conspiracy of Life

This week was the combination of no gym time, traveling, and a percussive rhythm at work.

First, the gym was not an option this week. The team is in the midst of a coaching change, from Jeff to Cathy, and we’re waiting for Cathy to get her insurance before she can start. The only time I can get to the gym is the early, before they open time, which means that someone has to have a key. And Cathy can’t have a key until she has the insurance. Thus, no gym this week.

I lost two days to travel.

And this is the week before Break, so there is a great deal of rushing to the mid-point line, combined with a constant swirl of required new initiatives from above.

It made training a challenge this week. There was no work with other than body weight. Done right, that’s enough to maintain, I think. But it will be interesting to get back into the gym next week.

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Body weight circuit: (25 pushups + 25 situps + 25 squats + 25 lunges) x 5 sets (2 min between sets)

Tuesday and Saturday

As scheduled: (4 x 100 meters @ 23 seconds, 20 seconds rest) x 4 (90 seconds between sets)

I was scheduled to do the above on Thursday, but lost that to weather and travel. Subbed in Saturday, which was supposed to be a test 400 meters. Will do that Sunday, 3/4, instead.
