Ride the Wave
... but with a strain at the end.
Starting Stuff: Incline Bench Press, 8 x 135, 8 x 155 x 2
Working: Squat, 3 x 225, 3 x 255, 1 x 275, 1 x 275, 1 x 275, 5 x 225
Accessory: Paused Leg Press, 8 x 450 x 3
Weight after workout: 165
This was a lot of good work for me, even though the 275's were not perfectly deep. "Just on top of it," said Jeff. By the end, though, I had a little tweak in the right hip area--I think it is probably muscular because of the weakness point.
I foam rolled at the gym, then foam rolled at home and worked the lacrosse puck. Still feel it, but I'm off from the gym for Christmas week, so there's time for it to heal.
In general, I'm pleased with this week. The 405 rack pull. The 245 bench. The three 275 squats. The deficit deadlift triples at 315. That's a lot of work, and it's definitely riding the wave.
