It’s funny to me that different plates and different bars feel really different. These were York plates, and the feel on them is just different. I moved things around fine; glad the work sets were deadlifts, and so require no spotters.
East Side is a USAPL friendly facility. There was even someone working out in a blue USAPL tee shirt. Overall, though, it felt more like a CrossFit box with squat racks than a powerlifting/weightlifting facility. I did note, however, glute ham machines and other helpful apparatus. Overall, it was well worth taking the Lyft over. Clean, friendly, and just what I needed for a Monday on the road.
