Dish of the week: Pho
Pho (2.5 cups)
We’re blessed with a lot of Vietnamese restaurants around here, and pho is something that everybody does just a little differently. We like the broth at a place called Saigon Café, where the broth has a deep, complex and spicy flavor. saigoncafeusa.com They also have the best round steak, sliced thin, and they almost always have cilantro as well as basil. This is southern Vietnam pho, so it has jalapenos too. I like to have about a bowl a week—good for the soul.
